Manchester United will play against Brighton. The defending champions, Manchester City, will welcome Norwich to their ground.
Arsenal will head to Ipswich, while Aston Villa will take on Coventry away from home.
Bournemouth is set to face Lincoln. Sunderland will go up against Hull. Newcastle will travel to Millwall, and Everton will host Wolverhampton.
Fleetwood Town is the only team from the fourth tier still in the competition. They will have a home match against Sheffield United.
In other matches, Crystal Palace will play Middlesbrough, Leyton Orient will meet Bradford, Reading will host Brentford, and Peterborough will take on Barnsley.
The last two matchups will be decided after Chelsea plays Luton and Fulham faces AFC Wimbledon.
The third-round games will take place over the weeks starting on September 7 and September 14. The schedule is set to avoid any clashes with the first rounds of European matches.
