England Beats France 6-4 as Saka Makes History with Hat-Trick

Bukayo Saka scored a memorable hat-trick as England defeated France 6-4 in an exciting FIFA World Cup match. This game became one of the highest-scoring matches of the tournament.

Saka is now only the fourth England player to score a hat-trick in the World Cup. He joins the likes of Geoff Hurst (1966), Gary Lineker (1986), and Harry Kane (2018).

England started strong, taking the lead just three minutes in. Declan Rice hit a powerful shot from long range that went past Mike Maignan.

Saka thought he had scored again in the 12th minute, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Still, England kept pushing and made it 2-0 in the 18th minute. Ezri Konsa headed in from a corner taken by Rice.

France struggled to keep up with England's speed and movement. Saka scored twice before halftime. He found the net from a pass by Marcus Rashford in the 37th minute. Then, right before halftime, he made it 4-0 with a brilliant shot from the edge of the box.

After the break, France came out strong.

Kylian Mbappe scored just three minutes into the second half. He then assisted Bradley Barcola, who made it 4-2 in the 54th minute.

The pressure kept building as Mbappe linked up with Michael Olise. This connection led to France’s third goal in the 66th minute.

England found some breathing space again in the 87th minute. Malo Gusto fouled an England player in the box. Saka stepped up and calmly scored from the penalty spot, completing his hat-trick and putting England ahead 5-3.

But France didn't give up. Ousmane Dembele scored deep into stoppage time, making it 5-4 and setting up a tense finish.

Jude Bellingham quickly sealed the game for England. He made a fantastic solo run and scored the sixth goal in the 98th minute, sending the ball into the bottom corner.

Despite the loss, Mbappe continued to shine. His goal brought his World Cup total to 22, making him the all-time leading scorer ahead of Lionel Messi. He finished the tournament with 10 goals, becoming only the fourth player to score 10 or more in a single World Cup, following Just Fontaine, Sándor Kocsis, and Gerd Müller.

Olise also made history with his seventh assist in the tournament. Still, it was Saka’s night to remember that led England to this famous victory.
