Midfielder Fabian Ruiz left the Spain team on Saturday to be there for the birth of his first child in Paris, according to the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).
The 30-year-old player from Paris Saint-Germain will miss the Nations League match against the Czech Republic on Saturday evening in Oviedo.
The RFEF did not confirm if he will come back for the last match of the international break against Croatia on Tuesday in Split.
Ruiz played in both games as Spain, the world champions, began their campaign with wins over England and Croatia.
