Fans and colleagues are still grieving the loss of Mount Zion actor Olusegun Oyeyemi. His family has shared details about his burial arrangements.
Oyeyemi passed away on 10 June at the age of 38. He was known for his role as Flora’s husband in the popular gospel series Abattoir. The series was directed by Damilola Mike-Bamiloye and produced by Mount Zion Film Productions.
The sadness surrounding his death is even more profound because Flora, played by Tolu Adegboyega, died a year earlier on 4 February 2025.
Adegboyega suffered serious injuries in a tragic car accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in December 2024. The accident also took the lives of her twins. The loss of two talented actors within a year has deeply affected Nigeria’s gospel film community, which both actors dedicated their lives to.
Actor Oluwaseun Adejumobi announced the burial details in a flyer on his Instagram page on Tuesday night. A service of songs will take place on 2 July at the New Covenant Church, IMPA Estate, Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State. Oyeyemi will be buried on 3 July at the Garden of Saint Cemetery, also in Ibadan. The family has asked everyone to wear white for both events.
