Fans Support Peter in P-Square Family Dispute, Want Paul to Speak

Fans of the now-defunct music group P-Square are picking sides in the renewed family quarrel between Peter "Mr P" Okoye, his twin brother Paul "Rudeboy" Okoye, and their older brother Jude Okoye, who was also their manager.

The latest reactions come after Peter began sharing a video series where he discussed the repeated breakups of P-Square and the family's long-standing financial issues.

Peter started this series on July 30, 2026. He made serious claims against Jude, saying he mishandled the group's royalty payments.

These claims have sparked many conversations online. Some fans are supporting Peter, while others are asking for Paul’s side to be heard before making any judgments.

One user, #Ugoo_steve, said, "I naturally do like Peter, but I do not have a favourite in this fight. If they have anything on Mr P, they should make it available. I stand by the truth and with the oppressed, so far, with the available evidence, Peter is the victim."

This online reaction comes during a long-standing dispute involving Peter, Paul, and Jude.

P-Square, formed in 1999, became one of Africa's biggest music groups. They produced hit songs like "Bizzy Body", "Do Me", "Personally", "No One Like", "You", and "Chop My Money".

The brothers first split in 2017 but reunited in 2021. However, they had another falling out in 2024.

The current dispute mainly centers on how P-Square's finances were managed and Jude’s role as their former manager.

Peter accused Jude of secretly starting Northside Music Limited and using it to collect royalties meant for P-Square.

This led to an investigation by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Jude was taken to court in Lagos over alleged money laundering involving about N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.

He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail.

Peter later testified against Jude in court, while Paul defended Jude and criticized Peter for his role in the legal issues.

In February 2026, Peter admitted he was a co-signatory to the Northside Entertainment Limited account, contradicting his earlier claim that Jude was the only signatory.

The renewed family feud has also caught the attention of another Okoye family member, Henry Okoye.

Henry recently said he doubts Peter and Paul can reconcile, even though he wishes for a family reunion.

In an interview with social commentator Jos Connection, Henry mentioned that Peter has tried to fix things but is not hopeful that the twins will return to how they used to be.

He said, "Peter is trying. I don’t know if Jude used juju on Paul because he was the nicest person in the family before. But the way he changed is surprising. What is happening now is my prayer. I watched all Peter’s series on what transpired."

Henry added, "I will be happy for them to come back together but I don’t think it will happen. Paul was a very kind person."

He urged Paul to forgive Peter, recalling how Peter supported him during a time he was in the hospital.

Jude has denied Peter’s claims, calling them "blatant lies" and "manipulative tactics". He insists the financial issues were addressed during the EFCC investigation and are still in court.

As Peter keeps releasing episodes of his video series, the argument has further divided P-Square fans. Some firmly support Mr P, while others want the brothers to settle their issues privately.
