Flamingos Coach Names 26 Players for U17 World Cup Camp

Head Coach Hakeem Busari has called up 26 players to join the Nigeria U17 women national team, the Flamingos. This is ahead of their participation in this year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Morocco from 17th October to 7th November.

The Flamingos qualified for the World Cup by beating the Bénin Republic in both legs of the final round of the African qualification. Since the tournament started in New Zealand in 2008, Nigeria has only missed one edition, which was in 2018 in Uruguay.

All the players are to report to Serob Legacy Hotel in Wuye, Abuja on Sunday, 30th August 2026.
