Fulham manager Alvaro Arbeloa has been fined £25,000 (about $33,000) by the Football Association in England. This follows his claim that officials would “not let Manchester United lose.”
Arbeloa made these comments after Fulham’s 1-1 draw with Manchester United in the Premier League at Craven Cottage in September.
Matheus Cunha scored the equaliser for Manchester United in the 89th minute.
Arbeloa accepted the charge against him. He has also received a warning for his comments. The FA said Arbeloa “acted in an improper manner by making comments in a post-match interview that imply bias and/or question the integrity of a match official.”
Fulham, based in London, is currently at the bottom of the Premier League. They have only two points from their first six matches.
