Nollywood star Funke Akindele has helped Nigerian videographer Jeffrey Oboh-Oshioke, also known as Juicyjeff, to study filmmaking at the London Film Academy in the UK, as he shared on social media.
Oboh-Oshioke, who makes behind-the-scenes and mobile videos for Akindele, announced this on Instagram on Tuesday. He shared that he just arrived in London and expressed his thanks to Akindele for this chance.
He said, "My mummy, @funkejenifaakindele, out of her incredible generosity and genuine belief in me, has given me an opportunity I will never take for granted, to come to London and pursue my passion for filmmaking at the London Film Academy."
He continued, "Mummy, thank you for seeing something in me, believing in my potential and using your heart to open this door for me."
Oboh-Oshioke added, "Your support has moved this dream from a conversation to a real-life experience. Mummy, my God will bless and perfect all that concerns you in Jesus’ name. I will never take this for granted Ma."
He posted a video showing his journey from Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos to Gatwick Airport in London. Oboh-Oshioke said this trip is the start of a new phase in his filmmaking career.
He wrote, "So, this is not just another trip. It’s a new chapter, a new frame and definitely a bigger production!"
He also said, "From Lagos to London, the camera keeps rolling… and I’m grateful for every scene."
He added, "Now, enough talking… London Film Academy… LEGGO!"
