Wellness advocate and content creator, Aishat Oluwatoyin, also known as Aishat Alagbo, has shared that dealing with criticism is one of her biggest struggles in growing her wellness brand and business.

Alagbo is the founder of Aish Naturaleaf Herbal. She mentioned that her journey as an entrepreneur has not been easy. She faces challenges like building a trusted brand, managing a growing business, and always improving her products and services.

She said, “One of my most memorable experiences is seeing people genuinely connect with what I’m building. Whenever someone comes back to tell me that my content helped them understand something, or that they appreciate my products and the way I do business, it means a lot to me.”

These experiences remind her why she started her wellness journey. They motivate her to keep improving despite the challenges of running a business.

“Entrepreneurship hasn’t been easy. There have been challenges with building a trusted brand, managing a growing business, dealing with criticism and constantly trying to improve,” she added.

Responding to Criticism

When talking about how she deals with criticism and doubts around herbal products and wellness practices, she said, “I actually think healthy scepticism is important. People should ask questions about products they are putting into their bodies.”

Instead of trying to convince everyone, Alagbo prefers to focus on being open, educating her audience, and running her business in a responsible way. She is ready to listen to honest criticism and sees it as a chance to learn.

The wellness advocate knows that criticism is part of building a brand that is in the public eye. She understands it is impossible to make everyone happy.

“I’ve learnt that when you’re building something publicly, you can’t please everybody, and that’s okay,” she said.
