History shows that the strength or downfall of societies often depends on the quality of the men in key positions. Adolf Hitler's harmful influence on Germany and the world did not come from his charm alone. He carefully chose skilled men who shared his dangerous vision. Engineers, propagandists, administrators, and thinkers became tools for terror in his hands.
*“For I looked, and there was no man; I looked among them, but there was no counselor.” , Isaiah 41:28
Their numbers were few, but their effects were devastating. When evil men are in power, they can shake entire nations. A man is a crucial support beam. His actions can either hold everything together or cause it to collapse. When a man fails, he doesn’t just fall alone; he brings down the whole family, business, or nation tied to his leadership.
On the other hand, good men can turn history around. In Africa, the late Archbishop Benson Idahosa of Nigeria was a shining example of integrity, spiritual strength, and service to God and people. He did not just preach; he built universities, changed African evangelism, and had a strong, honest marriage with his wife, Margaret. As a loving father, he raised children who carry on his legacy today while mentoring thousands of spiritual sons who continue to impact global ministry and leadership.
His life showed a timeless principle: a man with true spiritual authority influences more than just the church; he can change society.
This is the serious truth about manhood: one man can build a nation, and one man can destroy it. One good man can change history, just like Jesus Christ did. One bad man can lead generations into darkness. When evil men come together, they ruin destinies. When good men unite, they redeem destinies. Manhood sets the tone for society. If men are cold, society is stuck in immorality. If men are passionate for what is right, the nation shines with purpose.
God is not just looking for males; He wants real men, kingdom men. Men who know their purpose, take responsibility seriously, and have integrity. Men whose presence strengthens families, communities, and nations. In Europe, the legacy of William Booth, the founder of The Salvation Army, is still powerful. Together with his wife Catherine, Booth combined spiritual service with humanitarian work, helping millions escape urban poverty.
As a devoted father, he raised eight children who became strong leaders, expanding the ministry worldwide. He showed that a true kingdom man builds a lasting foundation at home while changing society for the better. He proved that a man’s greatest asset is not his wealth, but the spiritual strength of his children. In the business world, we see great kingdom leaders who change the world through intelligence, creativity, and unshakeable faith. In science and genetics,
Dr. Francis Collins, a famous physician-geneticist who led the Human Genome Project, is a shining example. A faithful Christian, Dr. Collins spent years showing that science and faith in Christ can coexist. Throughout his leadership roles, including directing the National Institutes of Health (NIH), he kept strong ethical standards, a solid marriage, and a commitment to using biotechnology for healing.
He showed that a man can stay devoted to God while achieving great things in science.
The biggest need for godly women is not just any man, but a godly man. The biggest need for nations is not just more people, but the rise of righteous, principled men who care about God’s kingdom. The Bible gives us a clear picture of this in Genesis. After Adam sinned, God asked a simple question:
*“Adam, where are you?” , Genesis 3:9
God was not confused about where Adam was. Adam was in God’s garden, His territory. The question was about his position, not his location. God was checking on the responsibility of the man He placed in charge. He was asking:
- Where are you in your duties?
- Where are you in leading others?
- Where are you in covering your family spiritually?
- Where are you in honesty and obedience?
- Where are you in your role as a man?
Look at Billy Graham in the Americas. For over sixty years, he served God and people with clear financial and moral integrity, avoiding the scandals that affected others. His seventy-year marriage to Ruth was a model of respect, and he raised children, like Franklin and Anne, who became international ministers. Graham showed that a true kingdom man leaves a clean legacy of truth for his family and the world, knowing that character in private is the real strength in public.
We see this same pattern in law, civil rights, and foundational sciences. Justice Thurgood Marshall, the first African American Supreme Court Justice, built his historic career on deep Christian faith, integrity, and a strong commitment to justice. Likewise, scientific leaders like Sir Isaac Newton and James Clerk Maxwell, who studied electromagnetism, were devoted Christian men. Their groundbreaking work came from a desire to understand God’s creation, proving that the highest levels of professional excellence belong to kingdom men. They did not separate their work from their faith; their faith was the source of their brilliance.
Adam failed at a critical moment when his generation needed him most. His silence opened the door for sin to enter the world. But thank God for Jesus Christ, the Last Adam, who restored what the first Adam lost (1 Corinthians 15:45).
Today’s society faces the same problem. The United States Census Bureau says that fatherlessness is the biggest predictor of poverty and crime. Research shows that children from fatherless homes are three times more likely to end up in prison by age 30. When Dr. Tony Evans visited a prison and asked inmates about their fathers, 90% raised their hands. This shows that not having a father is more than just a family issue; it is a huge problem for society.
Satan knows the importance of men, which is why the culture is trying hard to redefine and weaken biblical manhood. Karl Marx openly wanted to remove the biblical idea of male leadership at home, thinking society would be better off without it. Today, his ideas still influence Western culture, as one historian said, “Marx is ruling from the grave.” The current attack on masculinity is not random; it is a planned effort to cut off the line of godly leadership.
But the Bible is clear: men have a divine duty at home, in the church, and in the nation. When homes failed in the Bible, God spoke to the men, like Eli, not the women. When nations failed, God confronted the kings, like Saul, Ahab, and David. Even the Bible was mainly given to men whom God chose to share His message.
This does not lessen the value of women. It shows the serious responsibility God places on men. A father’s actions have lasting effects, not just on his children but on generations. Today’s world is shaped by different ideas, like feminism, humanism, socialism, and pragmatism, creating fathers who “set their children’s teeth on edge” by their own bad choices (Ezekiel 18:2).
No nation can rise above the quality of its men. No marriage can be stronger than the quality of its husbands. No church can be healthier than the quality of its fathers.
We need kingdom men, men who are saved, dedicated, and led by the Spirit. Men who carry excellence, wisdom, courage, and strong values. Men who leave behind principles, not just money. Men who build a strong foundation at home, not just assets. Men who change culture, not just go along with it. Men who think about future generations and act with righteousness.
- Kingdom pastors care for their local churches and the global Body of Christ.
- Kingdom politicians, scientists, and lawyers make laws, discover new things, and speak out with eternity in mind.
- Kingdom husbands prioritize the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of their families.
This is the kind of man that heaven is looking for.
Father, in the name of Jesus, raise kingdom men for Your daughters as husbands, for our nations as leaders, and for Your church as shepherds. Happy Father’s Day.
