Anthony Joshua believes his big fight with Tyson Fury could end in the first round. He wants to give fans a great victory when they meet on December 11 at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

The two-time world champion met Fury face to face on Wednesday in London. This was their first meeting since their long-awaited fight was confirmed after ten years.

There were concerns that the fight might not happen due to a disagreement over the venue. Joshua and his promoter, Eddie Hearn, wanted it to take place in the UK.

Joshua spoke to Sky Sports News about what this fight means to him. He said it is important to bring it to the UK because of the fans. "It meant a lot to me because of the fans. Bringing it to the UK meant a lot to me for the fans. And for me personally, as much as it is just another fight because I do not like to make too much of it, it is just what we do. It would be amazing to get the victory in spectacular fashion," he said.

When asked about his expectations for the fight, Joshua was clear. "A knockout, if I am honest with you. Could be in the first round," he said, confirming that this is his game plan.

Joshua shared that he did not want to walk away from the fight, even if he couldn't secure a UK venue. "I wanted to do everything I could to make it happen, and part of that was it being in the UK, and we got that, so we are here."

"But I was not completely willing to walk away from it because it still needed to go ahead. You just listen to the cries and the conversation of those people who love boxing and love competition," he said.

Bookmakers have made Fury the early favorite. They point out that Joshua has been knocked down in the first round of two of his last three fights. Joshua, however, claims he is still hard to beat. He ruled out any thoughts of retirement, no matter the outcome. "Durable, hard to beat, can show vulnerabilities, but makes it exciting for the fans at home. There is more to come. The Anthony Joshua journey does not end here," he said.

Joshua also talked about Fury, saying he is a dangerous and skilled fighter. "He performs to the level he is at as well, if I am honest. He is versatile, and he is a good little mover around in the ring," he said.

The stare-down between the two was intense but respectful. They stared each other down without any major issues. Joshua even lightened the mood with a playful moment that made both of them smile.

Fury promised an exciting fight. "I am going to come out, and I am going to blast him out of there. It will be a gunfight at the OK Corral. I am not going to run away. I am not going to box. I am going to throw down," he said.

The fight will be for the WBA super heavyweight title and will be streamed globally on Netflix, attracting a large crowd to Cardiff.
