A former Big Brother Naija Season 11 contestant, Victor Ikpe, known as Keivo, has spoken out after his disqualification from the show. He accepted full blame for the physical fight that ended his time in the house.
Keivo shared his thoughts in a statement on his X page on Thursday. This came days after Big Brother disqualified him due to a clash with fellow housemate, Tram.
"I’ve had some time to reflect on everything that happened and I take full responsibility for my actions. My emotions took the best of me. Regardless of how strongly I felt, physical confrontation is never a solution to any situation. And I take full responsibility for my actions," he wrote.
Keivo was disqualified from the 'Show Ya Sef' season on Tuesday after a disagreement with Tram turned physical. Big Brother named Keivo as the one at fault and ordered him to leave the competition.
Looking back on his exit, Keivo said he plans to learn from this experience and improve himself.
"I will learn, become better, and do my very best to make you proud of Keivo the Challenger, the Competitor, the man of many talents, the son of Grace, the VICTOR," he wrote.
The former housemate also expressed his gratitude to Big Brother and MultiChoice for the chance to join the show.
"Being in the house, sharing my story, connecting with amazing people and showing myself, I will never take that for granted," he said.
He thanked his family, friends, and supporters who prayed for him, voted for him, and stood by him, especially those who wanted to see him as a finalist.
"I came into Big Brother’s house hoping Nigerians would see who I am. I leave knowing that millions of people did. Thank you for loving me at my best, and thank you for holding me accountable for my actions," he wrote.
Keivo, who was competing for the Season 11 grand prize before his disqualification, said he is seeking God’s "mercy, wisdom, grace, and strength" as he starts what he called a new chapter.
"I trust that he has a purpose for every chapter, including this one. I will continue to trust him," he wrote.
He closed his statement by thanking members of the Big Brother community and wishing Nigerians a happy Independence Day.
