The Local Organising Committee for the first National Intermediate Games, called Eko 2026, has launched its official website at eko2026.org. The site will give real-time information and easy access to details about the multi-sport event.
This new platform focuses on simplicity and user experience. It has clear fonts, easy-to-read text, and a friendly user interface. Visitors can find information and complete tasks without any hassle.
The site guides users to the right pages, making it a helpful tool before, during, and after the Games.
Gbenga Omotoso, the Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub-Committee, spoke about the website. He said it will be a lively hub for updates during the competition.
"The website is detailed but simple to navigate. We want all our visitors and athletes to know more about the city of Excellence, and that is why the platform will help first-timers get first-hand information about Lagos and the Games," he shared.
Omotoso also talked about Lagos’ strong history of hosting major sporting events. He recalled the city hosting the first National Sports Festival in 1973 and what many consider the best-organised edition in 2012.
He assured everyone that Eko 2026 will continue this legacy and set new standards for youth sports development.
"When it comes to sports, Lagos is at the forefront. With Eko 2026, we are set to break new ground by staging the most colourful Games in Nigeria’s history," he promised.
