Liverpool Football Club has released a biography to honour the life of former player Diogo Jota. The profits from the book will help fund a grassroots football programme set up in his name through the LFC Foundation.

On Thursday, the club shared details on its X account about the book titled _Forever in Our Hearts_. It was written by Portuguese author and ex-footballer José Delgado and published by Reach Sport.

The book tells Jota’s story, from his early days in Portugal to becoming one of the most admired players of his time and a cherished member of Liverpool.

It features many interviews with family, friends, teammates, and coaches, including insights from Jota’s wife, Rute, his parents, Isabel and Joaquim, and former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp, along with over 90 others who knew him well.

These personal stories give a closer look at Jota’s character. They highlight his talent, determination, humility, and the relationships that influenced his life and career.

The biography also shows the close bond between Jota and his brother, André Silva. It reflects on the strong impact both brothers had on their teammates, fans, and the larger football community.

Jota had a great career, winning the Premier League with Liverpool and the UEFA Nations League with Portugal. He earned respect for his performances and contributions to the teams he played for.

The book also covers the tragic deaths of Jota and André in July 2025, shortly after Jota married his childhood sweetheart, Rute. Their passing led to a wave of grief and tributes from the football world.

Delgado spoke about the project, saying it began as a way to keep Jota’s memory alive during a very sad time.

"My commitment throughout was to tell his story with care, honesty, and respect for Diogo, André, and the family and friends who loved them," he said.

He mentioned that the kindness of those who shared their memories helped to show the personalities of the brothers and the deep affection people had for them.

Delgado also pointed out Jota’s special connection with Liverpool. Those he spoke to during his research mentioned not only Jota’s skill on the field but also his humility, dedication, and character.

He hopes that _Forever in Our Hearts_ will be a fitting tribute to Jota’s life and legacy, inspiring future generations.

The book is available at official Liverpool FC stores and online. All profits will support the grassroots football programme named after Jota.

This release is part of Liverpool’s effort to remember Jota and his brother. Earlier in 2026, the club set up a permanent memorial outside Anfield. This gives fans a place to remember the brothers and reflect on their lasting impact on the football community.

Through this biography and the new grassroots initiative, Liverpool wants to make sure that Jota’s legacy lives on, creating chances for future generations to enjoy and benefit from the game he loved.
