Nigeria’s rising tennis star Mabubat Rasaki is among Africa’s eight best U-12 players. She has been picked for the ATF U-12 Intercontinental Tennis Championship in Kazakhstan. The tournament is set for October 10 to 18, 2026, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.
The 12-year-old girl is from Oyo State. She earned her spot after showing great skills in local and international competitions. Her talent caught the eye of the Confederation of African Tennis.
Rasaki flew to Kazakhstan on Friday, October 9. She will join other selected African players for the championship. They will compete against some of the best young talents from other parts of the world.
This selection is a big step in her tennis career. It gives her a chance to gain important international experience. She will test her skills against players from different tennis backgrounds.
Rasaki’s journey also shows how crucial it is to find and develop young talents. Nigeria aims to boost its presence in international tennis.
