Man Arrested for Assault on Toronto Subway

A 28-year-old man named Adebayo Maoli has been arrested in connection with sexual assault and two counts of indecent act. This follows claims that he exposed himself to passengers on Toronto’s subway system in Canada.

The Toronto Police Service shared this news in a statement on Sunday. They said the incidents took place on September 1 and October 3, 2026, at King and College subway stations.

The police stated, "The Toronto Police Service is making the public aware of an arrest made in relation to an Indecent Act and Sexual Assault investigation."

According to the police, the first incident happened around 3pm on September 1. The suspect is said to have exposed himself to two victims on a southbound Toronto Transit Commission subway train at King Station.

The victims triggered the security alarm, which made Maoli leave the train. "It is alleged that on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at approximately 3:00 p.m, the accused exposed himself to two victims onboard a TTC subway car southbound at King Station. The accused exited the train after the security alarm was activated by the victims."

The second incident reportedly took place at about 12:10am on October 3. Police claim the suspect followed a victim getting off a subway train at College Station.

"It is further alleged that on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at approximately 12:10 a.m, the accused followed the victim who was getting off a TTC subway car at College Station. The victim got onto an escalator and the accused followed. The accused exposed himself to the victim. The victim confronted the accused verbally, and he fled the area."

Maoli, who lives in Toronto, faces two charges of indecent act and one charge of sexual assault. "Adebayo Maoli, 28, of Toronto, has been arrested and charged with: two counts of Indecent Act, one count of Sexual Assault. He was scheduled to appear in court at the Toronto Regional Bail Centre, 2201 Finch Avenue West, on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 9:30 a.m., in room 301."

The police mentioned that investigators think there may be more victims. They released a photo of the suspect and are asking for information.

"Investigators believe there may be more victims. An image has been released," the statement added.
