Maresca says every team would miss Rodri after Ballon d'Or win

Man City manager Enzo Maresca has talked about how important Rodri is to the team. He said the Spanish midfielder is a player that any team in the world would miss.

While discussing City’s current situation, Maresca highlighted Rodri’s amazing achievements. He said, “Well… Rodri is a player that just won the World Cup, Ballon d’Or, a top player that all teams would need,” as reported by Fabrizio Romano on X on Sunday.

But Maresca made it clear that City’s struggles should not be blamed only on Rodri being missing. “It’s not about if we miss Rodri or not,” he stated.

Rodri has become one of the most important midfielders in football. His absence creates a big gap in City’s lineup. Maresca’s comments show that the focus should be on the whole team instead of just Rodri’s absence as the reason for City’s problems.
