Martins is the first housemate to be evicted from BBNaija Season 11

Martins Iyeh has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 reality show. He is the first housemate to leave the competition after two weeks.

The 30-year-old visual storyteller and model is from Kogi State. He was evicted during the Sunday night live show, which our correspondent monitored. Viewers' votes decided the fate of housemates who were up for eviction.

According to PUNCH Online, Martins was one of the 24 contestants introduced when Season 11 started on July 26. This season is themed "Everything Is For The Taking" and is also known as "Show Ya Sef". The prize money is a record N160m, which includes N100m cash and an SUV.

As a creative director, visual storyteller, and model, Martins entered the house to showcase his personality and creativity. He mentioned basketball as one of his interests and jokingly said mind-reading is one of his hidden talents.

At the beginning of his BBNaija journey, Martins told viewers he wanted to have fun and enjoy his time in the house. "I came here to have fun," he said during his introduction.

During his short stay, Martins became part of a close-knit group of housemates. They bonded early in the competition and took part in conversations and social activities that shaped the season.

His birthday was celebrated in the house shortly after the launch. Fellow housemates organized a special gathering for him. Mercedes entertained everyone with a performance during the celebration, while others offered prayers and goodwill messages.

Martins' eviction comes as the competition enters a new stage. The second week has produced many nominees. Sixteen housemates faced possible eviction after Head of House Sheba saved Chimsom Chuka. Aikou and Flora were protected as the season’s Gambits.

This season has already introduced several twists as the remaining housemates compete for the N160m grand prize. They are also dealing with weekly nominations, tasks, alliances, and evictions.

With Martins gone, the number of contestants still in the race for the ultimate prize has decreased. The competition for the Season 11 crown is now more intense.
