First Eviction Hits BBNaija Season 11 as Martins Leaves

Martins Iyeh has been evicted from the Big Brother Naija Season 11 reality show. He is the first housemate to leave the competition after just two weeks.

The 30-year-old model and visual storyteller from Kogi State was sent home during last night’s live show. Viewers' votes decided who would stay and who would go among the housemates up for eviction.

PUNCH Online reports that Martins was one of the 24 contestants introduced on July 26 when this season kicked off. This season is themed "Everything Is For The Taking" and also called "Show Ya Sef". It has a huge prize of N160 million, which includes N100 million cash and an SUV.

Martins, a creative director, hoped to use the show to show off his personality and creativity. He also mentioned basketball as one of his interests and jokingly said that mind-reading is one of his hidden talents.

At the start of his BBNaija journey, Martins told viewers his main goal was to have fun. "I came here to have fun," he said during his introduction.

In his short time on the show, Martins quickly became part of a close group of housemates. They bonded early and took part in conversations and activities that shaped the season’s early dynamics.

His birthday was celebrated in the house just after the launch. Fellow housemates threw a special party for him. Mercedes even performed for him during the celebration, while others offered prayers and well wishes.

Martins’ eviction comes as the competition moves into another phase. The second week saw many housemates nominated for eviction. Sixteen contestants faced the possibility of going home after Head of House Sheba saved Chimsom Chuka. Aikou and Flora were also safe as the season’s Gambits.

This season has already brought several surprises as the remaining housemates compete for the N160 million grand prize. They deal with weekly nominations, tasks, alliances, and evictions.

With Martins now out, the number of contestants still in the race for the ultimate prize has dropped. The competition for the Season 11 crown is heating up.
