Nigerian singer Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P, has shared that the red ZR snapback cap he has been wearing during his eight-part series has sold nearly 3,000 units in just seven days.
Mr P, who is the owner of the lifestyle and streetwear brand Zipp Republic, made this announcement in a post on X on Monday. He thanked fans for their strong support for the cap.
“Guys, we honestly didn’t see this coming. Almost 3,000 Red ZR CAPS sold in the last seven days and more orders still pumping in every second,” he wrote.
He mentioned that the brand is currently busy with the high number of orders and asked customers to be patient with deliveries.
“We are overwhelmed with orders right now, so please be a little patient with us. We promise every single order will be delivered ASAP,” he added.
Mr P also mentioned plans to widen Zipp Republic’s product range to add gym wear, sportswear, and clothing for kids.
The Red ZR Snapback Hat is now sold for ₦20,000 on the official store. This price is down from the original price of ₦45,000.
The spike in sales comes as more people show interest in Mr P’s ongoing tell-all series, which started on July 30. The series has him looking back at the issues that caused P-Square’s breakups and the family's long-standing financial problems.
Fans have reacted strongly to the series, often taking sides in the renewed conflict involving Mr P, his twin brother Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, and their older brother and former manager, Jude Okoye.
In other news, Mr P recently hit a milestone on the music charts. His song “I Can’t Look Away” debuted at number 151 on the Spotify Nigeria Daily Top Songs chart on August 8.
This marks the first solo entry by any P-Square member since the duo split.
