The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has said it has not released any official results from its primary elections in any state.
The opposition party made this known in a statement by its spokesperson, Osa Director. He urged Nigerians to disregard any list that might be going around.
Reports show that the NDC is facing several issues in its state chapters. Members have claimed that many of its primaries did not follow proper procedures.
Even though some of the primaries took place over a week ago, the NDC has not made any official announcement about the results.
Mr Director's statement, which he shared on X, addressed the problems in the Kano State chapter of the party. The party’s vice presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, is a former governor of Kano and won the presidential election in Kano in 2023 as a candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party.
