In a touching video that has shocked many in the Nigerian entertainment scene, veteran actress Ngozi Nwosu asked for financial help as she faces a serious illness.
Nwosu, known for her role in ‘Fuji House of Commotion’, looked weak in the video, which many people shared on social media on Thursday.
While lying on a hospital bed and covered with a blanket, Nwosu spoke directly to the camera, urging fans, family, and supporters not to leave her alone during this tough time.
She said, “My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control. I need your help. Don’t let me die.”
Nwosu, who has previously dealt with kidney and heart issues that led her to seek treatment abroad with help from the Lagos State Government and kind-hearted Nigerians, shared that she needs three urgent surgeries. These surgeries are expected to cost around N30 million.
Even with her struggles, Nwosu remains hopeful about her recovery while asking for immediate financial support.
The video has led to a flood of sympathy on social media. Many Nigerians have shown concern for her health and the situation of older actors in Nollywood.
Several people commented on what they see as a lack of proper support for veteran entertainers, while others sent prayers and encouraging messages for Nwosu’s healing.
