A 34-year-old Nigerian man will appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court in South Africa. He is accused of dealing in drugs in Montclair, South Africa.
The South African Police Service shared this news on their Facebook page on Monday. They said the suspect was brought to court on the same day after police from the Provincial Firearms and Drugs Unit arrested him.
According to the statement, the suspect was caught in Montclair with cocaine powder. The cocaine is valued at around R30,000 on the street.
The police also mentioned, "He was arrested in Montclair by members of the Provincial Firearms and Drugs Unit after he was found in possession of cocaine powder with an estimated street value of R30,000."
In addition to the drugs, the suspect had R5,000 cash on him. The police said he could not explain how he got the money.
The statement confirmed that the cash and the suspected cocaine were taken during the operation.
The suspect will face court on charges related to drugs. The South African police are continuing their fight against the sale of illegal drugs.
