Nigerian students did really well at the 2026 TeenEagle Global Finals in the UK. They brought home several medals. The event was held at the University of Surrey from June 21 to 28. Students from different backgrounds showed off their skills in English, critical thinking, public speaking, and spelling. The competition also encouraged cultural exchange and teamwork across countries.
Winners
Chioma Ezedimbu won a silver medal in Productive Skills and a bronze in Receptive Skills. Amarachi Orji took home a gold medal in Productive Skills and a bronze medal in Receptive Skills. Kassandra Chimziterem shone brightly, winning gold medals in both Productive and Receptive Skills categories.
About the competition
Teen Eagle, a group based in London, hosts the Global Finals. They focus on English language competitions to help students feel a sense of belonging. The organization also aims to promote diversity and encourage creative thinking.
