Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have taken out 15 terrorists in a precise air strike north-west of Pulka in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State.
The Nigerian Army reported that the terrorists were eliminated during an operation that took place around 11:50 pm on October 23, 2026.
Captain Mohammed Goni, Acting Military Information Officer of the Northeast Joint Task Force, shared this news in a statement on Saturday.
Goni explained that the operation was based on reliable intelligence and confirmed sightings of terrorists moving in the Pulka area.
The statement said, "The Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has recorded another operational success with the elimination of 15 terrorists in a precision air strike north-west of Pulka in Gwoza LGA of Borno State.
"The operation was conducted at about 11:50 p.m. on 23 October 2026, following credible intelligence and confirmed sightings of terrorist movements in the general area of Pulka."
Goni mentioned that the air strike was followed by ground operations to secure the area and build on the operational success.
He noted that this mission showed how effective intelligence-driven targeting and coordinated military efforts are in disrupting terrorist activities and weakening their capabilities.
"It also reflects the strong commitment of Operation HADIN KAI to deny terrorist groups freedom of action and prevent them from threatening communities in the area," he added.
Goni stated that this operation is part of the ongoing offensive efforts by troops, supported by intelligence gathering and the coordinated use of military resources.
"Through these efforts, the Theatre Command continues to apply pressure on terrorist groups, disrupt their activities, and improve security across the North East," he said.
He assured the public that Operation Hadin Kai is dedicated to defeating terrorism and insurgency, protecting citizens, and creating the right conditions for normal life and economic activities in affected communities.
"The Theatre Command reassures the public that troops will keep up the momentum of ongoing operations with vigilance, determination, and professionalism," he said.
Goni encouraged the public to keep cooperating with security agencies by sharing timely and reliable information about suspicious movements and activities.
"The ongoing partnership between the military and the civilian population is key to building on operational successes and achieving lasting peace and security across the North East," he said.
