Nkechi Blessing calls out trolls for shaming women without children or husbands

Nollywood actress, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, has advised social media trolls to stop shaming women because of their marital or childbearing status. She urged them to think about the struggles people might be going through in private.

In a post on Instagram on Monday, the actress also warned women who are looking for marriage, children or other personal blessings. She said they should be careful of what she called fake prophecies.

She wrote, “In everything you do in this life, and as a woman seeking the face of God for anything, be it a child, husband, or anything at all, please and please beware of fake prophecy.”

Nkechi also took aim at online trolls who often remind women that they are getting older, unmarried or without kids.

“And to you godforsaken demons called online trolls, take it easy on always reminding a woman she’s getting old and unmarried, childless, etc. You never know the battles they fight behind the scenes,” she said.

The actress called on people to be more compassionate towards women. She pointed out that outsiders may not understand the challenges they are facing in private.
