Osimhen scores as Galatasaray wins 4-2 against Lille

Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen scored as Galatasaray beat Lille 4-2 to grab their first three points in the 2026 UEFA Champions League.

Osimhen netted his first goal in this season's Champions League in the 61st minute. This goal is also his seventh in all competitions for the Turkish team.

Galatasaray started strong with Yunus Akgun scoring in the second minute. This quick goal gave the home side a great start to the match.

But Lille did not back down. Aleksey Batrakov equalized in the 44th minute for the visitors.

19-year-old Soriba Diaoune had a standout first half. He scored twice in the seventh and 39th minutes, putting Galatasaray under pressure.

After halftime, Galatasaray fought back. They regained the lead with an own goal by Nabil Bentaleb. Then, Osimhen sealed the win with his goal in the 61st minute.

This victory is a big boost for Galatasaray as they aim for success in Europe. Osimhen will be looking to add more goals as the season moves on.
