Osun APC Leader Calls for Unity Before Governorship Election

A leader of the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged party members to come together as they prepare for the governorship election on August 15.

Oyintiloye made this call in a statement to journalists in Osogbo on Sunday. He asked members to collaborate to ensure victory for the party’s candidate, Bola Oyebamiji.

The former member of the Osun State House of Assembly stressed that unity within the party is crucial for winning the election. He warned against actions that could weaken the party’s chances.

He cautioned that “bitterness, careless remarks, unguided utterances and anti-party activities” should be avoided. Such actions could harm the party’s chances at the polls.

“It will be a costly mistake for the party to go into the election divided. Unity and a common purpose are essential for victory,” he stated.

Oyintiloye also called on party leaders and elders to quickly address any grievances among members. He pointed out that unresolved issues could impact the party’s prospects.

“No divided house can win a battle. That is why I am appealing to all members to come together and resolve whatever differences we have. APC is cruising to victory,” he added.

He described Oyebamiji as a “sellable candidate” who can win the election. He encouraged members to support him as the election approaches.

The chieftain expressed hope that with backing from APC leaders, including Chief Bisi Akande, former governor Gboyega Oyetola, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, and Senator Iyiola Omisore, the party will regain power in Osun State.

This call for unity comes at a time when there are reports of internal tensions following the party’s recent primaries.
