Over 70 countries join Dunamis church conference in Abuja

Christian ministers and delegates from Nigeria and 70 other countries attended the recent International Ministers’ Flaming Fire Conference held by the Dunamis International Gospel Church in Abuja.

Becky Enenche, wife of the Senior Pastor Paul Enenche, shared this news on Wednesday.

She also said that delegates from 78 countries visited the church's headquarters on Airport Road in the Federal Capital Territory in August. The church has organized 43 local and international crusades this year.

The 2026 conference, themed “Occupy till I Come,” took place from August 25 to 30 in the church's 100,000-seat auditorium called the “Glory Dome.” This conference happens every year.

Some countries represented at the conference included Australia, Canada, the US, the UK, France, Norway, South Africa, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, South Sudan, the UAE, Germany, Spain, Latvia, the Philippines, Trinidad and Tobago, Nicaragua, China, and Brazil.

Other countries mentioned by Mrs Enenche include the Netherlands, Sweden, Burkina Faso, Switzerland, India, the Bahamas, Guatemala, Lithuania, Greece, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Romania, Ireland, Italy, Kenya, Angola, and Equatorial Guinea.

Delegates also arrived from nearly all 36 states of Nigeria and Abuja.

In addition to those who attended in person, thousands of others watched the sessions online from various countries, especially during the Friday/Saturday vigil.

Mrs Enenche, who is a medical doctor and preacher, reported that the number of countries represented grew from 43 on the first day of the conference to 63 the next day, and then to 71.

She thanked God for keeping the attendees safe, noting that some had to leave their churches to be at the event.

The five-day conference included morning and evening sessions, ending with a vigil on Friday. It began on Monday, August 24, with a pre-conference service where Pastor Enenche preached on “God works and God’s work.” Some ministers and delegates arrived early to attend this service.

The main conference kicked off on the morning of the next day with a healing and deliverance service, where Pastor Enenche preached “Occupy through Health and Strength.”

In the following days, Pastor Enenche and other ministers took turns preaching on topics related to the theme. The ministers included Mrs Enenche, Ntia Ntia from Full Life Christian Centre in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Godwin Abba from World Alive International Centre in Abuja, Solomon Ipila, DIGC regional pastor for North-west, and David Majiyebo, regional pastor for South-south.

In his opening sermon on Tuesday evening, titled “Occupy till I come: The Mandate,” based on Luke 19:13, Pastor Enenche said that God owns the earth and wants His glory to fill it. He raises people to take charge of its territories for Him.

He explained that occupying until Jesus returns means taking charge, making changes, and influencing territories, nations, and cities. He also mentioned dismantling opposing powers.

Pastor Enenche further listed 10 other meanings of “Occupy till I come.” They include filling the space left by one's absence, carrying on assignments, and speaking for God until He returns.

He mentioned that to occupy until Jesus comes, a Christian must bear God’s burden for their generation, be sent by God, maintain a strong relationship with Him, and show what God has put inside them.

Hundreds of people accepted Jesus Christ during the conference, and many shared amazing testimonies.

Some guest gospel singers and worship leaders at the event included Elijah Oyelade, Prospa Ochimana, Owie Abutu, Julie Emunah, and Oche Jonking.

The IMFFC takes place in the last week of August each year. This year's event happened right after the Youth Ignite Conference, themed “Reigning as King in Youth,” and the Children’s conference, which attracted around 20,000 children.

Other yearly programs by the 30-year-old church include the Destiny Recovery Convention in May and the Kingdom Power Glory World Conference in November. They also hold Nations Worship in His Presence in January and July.
