The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has sent a clear message to a political group called Boye Nation. The party warned them against promoting candidates from other political parties as the 2027 general elections approach. The APC said anyone supporting their presidential candidate must also support all their other candidates.

The party insisted that the group either returns to the APC and backs all its candidates or they should keep away from the party's campaign efforts.

This warning came after a video was shared on social media. The video showed vehicles with campaign messages and photos of President Bola Tinubu of the APC and Bimbo Adekanmbi, the governorship candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement in Oyo State. The vehicles also displayed the Boye Nation symbol and logos of both parties, but there were no voice messages.

On Thursday, in Ibadan, the Oyo APC Publicity Secretary, Olawale Sadare, released a statement. He mentioned that the party is open to reconciling with members who feel wronged. But he made it clear that their willingness to engage should not be seen as weakness.

Sadare said, “We have got reports from different sources that some individuals behind Boye Nation activities in Ibadan are planning to create confusion in the political scene. Some of these people celebrate their confusion on social media, but we can only wish them the best of luck. Information has it that some individuals who left our party recently are now trying to campaign for President Bola Tinubu against their new party's presidential candidate.

“While we sympathise with the man in question, as he and his group must have realised the fatal error in their recent political move, we urge them to return home and play the role expected of them as progressive family members.”

Sadare also stated that the party will not accept campaign materials that have logos from multiple political parties. He emphasized that support for Tinubu should extend to other APC candidates.

“If you are supporting our presidential candidate, Asiwaju Tinubu, you must also work for the governorship, senatorial, House of Representatives, and House of Assembly candidates of the APC at the same time. Doing otherwise would be unacceptable to us,” the statement added.

PUNCH Online reports that Ajiboye Sangogade, known as Boye Nation, is a former personal assistant and loyalist of ex-Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu. In September 2026, he led a group of APC members who defected to the APM in Oyo State.
