Celebrities took part in a football match organized by Pasabet to mark International Youth Day. The event brought together stars, football fans, and young Nigerians for a tournament focused on sports, community, and youth involvement.
The excitement on the field showed that Pasabet believes young people have a key role in building the nation.
The organizers aimed to create an environment that promotes participation, teamwork, creativity, and positive social interaction. They want to inspire more young Nigerians to get involved, speak up, and contribute to the country's future.
Four teams competed in the tournament: Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and All Stars. The All Stars team included fans from clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Liverpool.
The event took place on Sunday and featured well-known personalities like Small Doctor, Prince Nelson, Real Sophie, Sandialo, Uti Nwachukwu, Yinka, GroovyMono, Dotun, and Faith Adewale, among others.
The matches were filled with football, rivalry, and fun. Chelsea beat Arsenal to reach the final, while Manchester United defeated All Stars, setting up a Chelsea versus Manchester United final.
In the final match, Chelsea delivered a strong performance, winning 3-0 against Manchester United to become champions of the Pasabet Celebrity Football Match.
Yinka was one of the standout players of the tournament. His great performances helped Chelsea win and earned him the Most Valuable Player award.
The event was more than just a football tournament. It celebrated youth, community, sportsmanship, and the ability of young people to come together and make a positive impact.
Emeka Akujobi, the Director of Pasabet, spoke at the event. He said the brand is focused on grassroots football development as it enters the sports betting and gaming market.
"Pasabet is big on grassroots football mobilization. We are new to the market as a sports betting and gaming brand," Akujobi said.
"We want to connect with grassroots and the community of football lovers to provide the right sports and gaming platforms. We are also here to motivate the youths. We collaborated with celebrities to amplify the brand and show it is for everyone, whether you are a star or a regular worker. We will certainly sell out a stadium next," he added.
Singer Small Doctor shared why he participated in the event. He said it was to connect with his fans.
"I joined this event because it bridges the gap between me and the fans. That is always something I want to be a part of, and I have had a great experience," he said.
Yinka Odunlami, the Player of The Tournament and brother to musician Fola, said his award came from teamwork.
"This was a good achievement, and I had a great team that helped me win the award. This was a fun event, and I am glad I made an impact with my teammates as well," Odunlami said.
