Big Brother Naija winner, Phyna, has marked the first anniversary of her sister’s death. She claims that her family has not received justice over the accident involving a Dangote Group truck.

In a post shared on Monday, Phyna said the driver who killed her sister was underage. The driver has not been arrested one year after the accident.

She wrote, “One year today… her case was swept under the carpet.”

Phyna paid tribute to her late sister, saying the past year has been tough. The pain of losing her sister is still fresh.

“It’s been exactly one year since I lost you, my sister, and honestly, I still don’t know how to put into words what your absence has done to me,” she wrote.

“One whole year without seeing you, hearing your voice, laughing with you, or simply knowing that you were somewhere in this world,” she added.

Phyna mentioned that even after 365 days, there are times the loss feels recent.

“People say time heals, but sometimes I wonder if time really heals or if we just learn how to live with the pain,” she said.

She recalled the good times with her sister, wishing for one more conversation, hug, or laugh.

Phyna also expressed sadness that her sister was not around to see her life and give advice.

“I miss you in ways I cannot explain. I miss the memories we shared, the little things that only sisters could understand, and the comfort of knowing you were here,” she wrote.

“Life has continued, but a part of me feels like it stopped the day you left,” she added.

Phyna first raised concerns about the accident in August 2025. She called out businessman Aliko Dangote and Dangote Group over the incident involving her sister.

She alleged that the company’s truck was involved and criticized Dangote for how he handled the situation.

After her comments, Dangote Group released a statement saying they care about Phyna’s sister. They claimed to be providing support, including medical care and compensation.

Phyna’s sister passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025.

On the anniversary of her death, Phyna said the experience reminded her of how fragile life is. She emphasized the need to cherish loved ones.

“One year has passed, but your memory remains alive in my heart. I will carry you with me for the rest of my life, in every achievement, every tear, every smile, and every moment I wish you were here,” she wrote.

She finished her tribute by saying she regretted not being able to get justice for her sister.

“Sleep peacefully, my beautiful sister. You are deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten,” she wrote.

“Until we meet again… I love you always.

“I’m sorry I could not get you justice.”
