The Adamawa State Police have caught four people involved in armed robbery. They face charges of criminal conspiracy, having dangerous weapons, criminal trespass, and robbery at the Corpers’ Lodge found at Specialist Hospital, Jimeta, Yola.

In a statement released on Friday, the police spokesman, Suleiman Nguroje, named the suspects as Elkana Ishaya, 17, from Clarck Quarters, Jimeta; Mubarak Abubakar, 22, from Galadima Street, Jimeta; Musa Umar, 30, from Samunaka; and Kabiru Tanko, 20, also from Galadima Street, Jimeta.

“The incident happened on 27th June, 2026, at the Corpers’ Lodge within Specialist Hospital, Jimeta. The suspects entered the lodge with dangerous weapons and robbed about thirty-six corps members of their belongings, including mobile phones,” Nguroje said.

When the police got the report, officers from Karewa Area Command quickly began investigating. This led to the arrest of the four suspects and the recovery of four mobile phones taken from the victims.

The statement explained that the investigation is still going on to find more stolen phones and to catch other gang members who are still free.

It also mentioned that the suspects will be taken to court once the investigation finishes.

The Commissioner of Police for Adamawa State, Kabir Hassan, assured the public, especially corps members, that the police are dedicated to protecting lives and property.

The CP urged everyone to quickly report any suspicious people or activities to the nearest police station.
