The Adamawa State Police have arrested two men believed to be part of the Shilla Boys gang. They are linked to an armed robbery incident.
On Saturday, the police spokesperson, SP Suleiman Nguroje, shared details about the case. He said the robbery happened on Thursday, August 27, 2026.
"The incident occurred on 27th August, 2026, at about 2300hrs, when the suspects allegedly attacked the complainant with dangerous weapons and robbed him of three mobile handsets around Chinko, Jimeta."
Residents nearby quickly reacted. They alerted the police, and officers from the Jimeta Divisional Police Headquarters took action. The suspects were arrested soon after.
The arrested suspects are Bubakar Sadik Muhammed, also known as Haske, who lives in Chochi Rumde, and Hamma Jibrilla, known as Dzeco, from Kasan Shinko.
Police recovered two of the three stolen mobile phones and one knife from the suspects. The police statement mentioned these items as important evidence.
CP Kabir Hassan, the Commissioner of Police in Adamawa, praised the police officers for acting fast. He said their quick response helped prevent further crime.
The Commissioner also talked about the police's goal. He said they are dedicated to breaking down criminal gangs and keeping communities safe.
CP Hassan encouraged the public to be alert. He urged people to report any suspicious activities or individuals to the police right away.
He concluded by saying that the suspects would face charges in court once the investigation is finished.
