Portable and Okocha Fire Shots Ahead of Boxing Match

Controversial singer, Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, and actor Charles Okocha had a fiery argument during a live interview on Wednesday. This was part of their ongoing rivalry before their celebrity boxing rematch.

The clash took place on a TVC show called Chaos in the Ring. The two appeared with a moderator to talk about their fight set for July 31.

During the talk, Portable boldly claimed he would beat Okocha again. He talked about how he prepared and his past win over the actor.

"I’m the man… I go prepare, I don prepare, I go win again, I go fight again. I go beat Charles Okocha," Portable said.

The singer also mentioned his friendship with British rapper Skepta. He said Skepta had accepted him and encouraged Nigerians to support him.

Portable confidently said he was already the winner before the fight, showing he was ready to defend himself in the rematch. Then, the Zazoo crooner stood up unexpectedly, pretending to throw punches at Okocha.

Okocha told Portable to save his energy for the actual fight. "So what are you talking about? Can you save that for the ring? Can you save that on the 31st? Don’t disrespect me! I’m not your mate. Don’t disrespect me!" Okocha shouted.

As they both shouted over each other, the show's presenter begged Portable to relax. The presenter tried to bring the conversation back to the fight.

"Portable… Portable, calm down. It’s understandable that this energy is on right here," the presenter said as the argument continued.

The rematch comes after Portable won by unanimous decision during their first fight. Okocha activated a rematch clause after that.

As the July 31 showdown approaches, both fighters continue to exchange threats while training separately.

Portable recently shared that he plans to challenge another singer, Terry G, to a boxing match after he faces Okocha. He insists he will keep boxing while continuing his music career.

The singer also revealed he has received ₦50 million from a reported ₦150 million purse for the upcoming fight. He remains sure of winning again against Okocha.
