Lagos, Nigeria. The Board of Directors of PZ Cussons Nigeria Plc has announced a revenue of N260.46 billion for the 2026 financial year. This is a 22% increase compared to N212.63 billion in 2025.

The Board plans to pay a dividend of N2.50k per share, which will be subject to approval from shareholders at the Annual General Meeting on 28 October 2026.

An analysis of the audited financial results for the year ending 31 May 2026 shows that the company had a strong performance. Their recurring operating profit jumped by 117% to ₦37.1 billion.

In a statement from the Company Secretary, Oghenekevwe Ogefere, it was noted that total operating profit rose to ₦77.1 billion. This growth was supported by better performance and one-time income, mainly from scrap sales and selling non-core assets.

Ogefere mentioned that this performance shows the commitment of the company’s staff. She also highlighted the continued investment in key brands, product innovation, better market strategies, and careful cost management.

The Group saw a major improvement in its financial position. Total equity became positive at ₦66.6 billion as of 31 May 2026, a big change from the negative equity of ₦17.3 billion the previous year. Profit before tax rose to ₦77.3 billion, and profit after tax climbed to ₦45.2 billion.

This improvement came from better profitability, careful capital spending, managing foreign exchange risks, and clearing old debts,” she said.

Ogefere added that the ₦77.1 billion in operating profit was driven by several factors. These included strong business performance, gains from currency changes, and selling non-core assets.

She expressed deep gratitude to shareholders for their continuous support through the challenges over the past year. She said, “We have a business with strong brands, a flexible operating system, and a culture of careful execution that helps deliver value to stakeholders.”

According to her, the Board and management are committed to maintaining profitable growth, strengthening the balance sheet, and creating long-term value for shareholders and other stakeholders.
