The Board of Directors of PZ Cussons, a top maker of personal healthcare products and consumer goods, has announced N260.46 billion revenue for the first quarter of the 2027 financial year. This is a 10% increase compared to N59.014 billion achieved in the same period in 2025.

Looking at the company’s unaudited financial results, the Cost of Sales went up by 5%. It rose from N43.11 billion in the first quarter of the 2025 financial year to N45.06 billion for the same period in 2026. Meanwhile, Gross Profit increased by 24%, moving from N15.90 billion in Q1, 2025, to ₦19.78 billion in Q1, 2026.

Oghenekevwe Ogefere, the Company Secretary, reported that the total operating profit for Q1 2027 reached ₦8.54 billion. This is up from ₦5.85 billion in the same period in 2026. This shows that the company is doing better operationally.

Ogefere pointed out that the growth came from a good mix of sales volume and pricing, along with the strength of the Group’s brands in their markets. She added that this performance shows the Group's ongoing effort to grow revenue sustainably, improve operations, and strengthen the business.

“Profit before tax was ₦9.09 billion, while profit after tax was ₦4.63 billion. These numbers are lower than what we saw last year, which had ₦15.74 billion in one-time gains. This quarter, the Group made ₦0.51 billion in one-time gains. Gross margin improved to about 30.5%, up from 26.9% last year,” she said.

She stressed that the company is focused on continuing revenue growth, boosting operational performance, and creating long-term value for its stakeholders.
