Quick Actions Help Save Cattle After Trailer Overturns in Gombe

A trailer loaded with cattle flipped over at Dukku Junction in Gombe city. This caused a big traffic jam and drew a large crowd to the area.

The accident happened when the truck was trying to turn at the junction. Some cattle got trapped under the trailer while others managed to get away.

People nearby rushed to help. Witnesses said residents and those passing by quickly gathered to rescue the trapped animals and help drivers stuck in traffic.

One witness shared, "The trailer was carrying cattle when it overturned while trying to negotiate the junction. Some of the cattle were trapped under the vehicle, while others managed to escape. People immediately gathered at the scene to rescue the animals and help control the situation."

The overturned trailer caused serious traffic issues. Motorists had to look for other ways to get around because the truck blocked part of the road.

Another witness noted, "The traffic became very heavy immediately after the trailer overturned. Vehicles could hardly move because the truck was blocking the road."
