Social media star, Destiny Ezeyim, known as Radiogad, has advised music icon David Adeleke, better known as Davido, to be more careful about his public image and the people he hangs out with.

In a video on his Instagram page, Radiogad praised Davido for his success but said some of his recent actions and friendships have brought him unwanted criticism.

He called Davido “one of the greatest” Nigerian artistes. Radiogad said the singer should “carry himself with pride” and stop giving critics chances to attack him online.

He mentioned a recent event where Davido was present. He expressed disappointment over how one of Davido’s friends behaved during that outing.

“I don’t know who that boy is, but I don’t know why he would go and sit where he wasn’t supposed to sit until someone asked him to leave. You can do better, bro,” he added.

Ezeyim also pointed out that Davido often reacts to critics on social media. He compared Davido’s reactions to that of fellow afrobeats star, Wizkid.

“You see when VeryDarkMan dragged Wizkid? Wizkid didn’t even respond. But when people talk about you, you enter their DMs, threaten them or reply in their comment section. Pick the kind of people you move with. Not everybody,” he stated.

Radiogad advised Davido to focus more on his fans and supporters instead of responding to online critics.

“One thing I notice about you is that you ignore people who genuinely support you, but you give attention to those who drag you. It doesn’t work that way. The people who show you love are the ones who will uphold your legacy,” he said.

He wrapped up by urging the Grammy-nominated singer to protect his legacy. He told Davido to surround himself with people who respect him and to stay away from individuals whose behavior could harm his image.

“I love you as a brother; that’s why I’m telling you the truth. Watch your circle. Anybody who exhibits any form of disrespect, discard that person. You are one of the greatest to ever do it. Carry yourself with pride,” Radiogad said.
