Barcelona captain Raphinha will be out for the next two matches after hurting his hamstring while playing for Brazil. Coach Hansi Flick shared this news on Friday.
Flick said, "The picture shows something, and it’s not a big injury." He added that it still needs attention.
“We have to take care about this because he has last season a lot of injuries about this. I think three injuries,” Flick explained.
He confirmed that Raphinha will not play tomorrow against Getafe in La Liga and will also miss the game in Istanbul against Galatasaray on Tuesday in the Champions League.
The German coach expressed anger at the busy schedule for players, which led to Raphinha getting hurt during a friendly match in Australia.
Raphinha has been playing as a centre-forward for Barcelona this season. He is currently the top scorer in Europe’s main leagues with 14 goals in just eight matches across all competitions.
Despite his success, Raphinha has faced ongoing muscle issues throughout his career. He returned injured from the March 2026 international break after playing against France in a friendly in Boston.
Barcelona felt his absence deeply during the final part of last season, especially in the Champions League. They were knocked out in the quarter-finals by Atletico Madrid.
Raphinha also faced a hamstring injury while representing Brazil during the 2026 World Cup.
The current two-time Spanish champions are doing well in La Liga this season. They are unbeaten and hold the top spot, five points ahead of Atletico Madrid.
