Real Madrid has reached an agreement with RB Leipzig to sign Yan Diomande, an Ivory Coast winger. The 19-year-old has already sorted out personal terms on a five-year contract.
Sports broadcaster Ben Jacobs shared the news on his X account on Sunday. He wrote, “Real Madrid reach an agreement in principle with Leipzig for Yan Diomande. Player already has terms in place on a five-year contract.”
Madrid and Leipzig have both agreed in principle for the talented young player. His five-year contract will keep him at the Santiago Bernabéu until 2031.
Diomande was born in Abidjan on November 14, 2006. He joined Leipzig after playing for Spanish club Leganés. He had a great first season in the Bundesliga, scoring 12 goals and making several assists in 33 league matches.

Diomande also played for Ivory Coast in the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He received a lot of praise for his performances as the Elephants made it to the knockout stages.
This news comes just a day after it was reported that Diomande had approved the contract terms with Real Madrid. Earlier, he had a verbal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain back in June.
Real Madrid's first offer was about €90 million, plus €10 million in add-ons. Leipzig turned down this bid, which led Madrid to prepare a better offer.
