Reckitt names Ujunwa Chukwumah as West Africa General Manager

Reckitt, a leader in health and hygiene, has named Ujunwa Chukwumah as General Manager for West Africa, starting on 15 September 2026. Ujunwa has over 19 years of experience in commercial roles and leadership across Africa. She is the first Nigerian and the first woman to hold this position in the region.

Before joining Reckitt, Ujunwa had senior roles at major companies like Diageo and Procter & Gamble. Her most recent role was Commercial Director for West and Central Africa at Diageo. There, she led businesses in various African markets and gained valuable experience.

Ujunwa has a strong record of improving commercial performance, building teams, and creating connections with customers and partners. Her time working in Nigeria and other parts of Sub-Saharan Africa has given her deep insight into local markets, consumers, and the changing business environment.

In her new job, Ujunwa will manage Reckitt’s West Africa operations. She will focus on boosting commercial performance and growth in the region. Ujunwa will also work on enhancing the skills of the team and finding ways for Reckitt’s brands to meet the changing needs of consumers.
