Regina Daniels explains her birthday celebration in a wheelchair

Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has shared about her ongoing health issues. She revealed that she has faced severe pain and had trouble moving for several months.

She made this known in a video on Instagram last Saturday to mark her 25th birthday.

Regina mentioned that she is slowly getting better. She also talked about why she has been away from social media for a while.

She explained that what started as a small health issue got worse over time. This left her unable to move around as she wanted.

The mother of two said: “I know many of you may be surprised seeing me in a wheelchair. Well, welcome to another chapter of my life. Let me walk you through what my life has been since many of you have asked questions about my absence. So today is the perfect day to respond to those who genuinely care. For several months now, I have lost my freedom to move around as I please.

“It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this. But things took a major turn after the last public gathering I hosted, my children’s day carnival. One test after another, I jokingly started calling myself elaborate. The pain became- how can I explain this? The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I can walk, and sometimes I can’t move. I cried.”

Healing

Regina said she is looking for God’s peace and healing during this tough time in her life.

She feels her fate is in God’s hands and wonders how she became incapacitated when she used to be so energetic.

The actress also shared her worry about needing help for even simple tasks.

“Well, me sitting here today, in front of this camera, sharing this y’all, it’s because there’s been some really significant developments in my recovery. And I say, thank you, Lord. I decided to move somewhere closer to my loves, and most importantly, to my heart, my babies. At first, I rented this place.

“But from the moment I set foot here, I just, I just had this need to own. Now, here is the juiciest part. From the day I made a down payment on this house, everything in here came as a gift. Look at my furniture. I mean, this beautiful, timeless piece was gifted to me by an adorable woman who a very special somebody introduced me to. My hairstylist, Ellie.”

Backstory

The actress called this year one filled with God’s blessings. She expressed gratitude for what He has done in her life and what is still to come.

“In any situation I find myself, I will continuously give all glory and adoration to God Almighty for what He’s done in my life, what He’s doing, and what He’s yet to do. So help me, God.”
