Cristiano Ronaldo has scored against 23 of the 24 teams in the Saudi Pro League. Al-Batin is the only club that has stopped the Portuguese star from scoring.
Since joining Al-Nassr in January 2023, Ronaldo has kept up his impressive form. This comes after a tough last period at Manchester United and a disappointing 2022 World Cup with Portugal.
Ronaldo has netted 102 goals in 107 Saudi Pro League matches. This gives him an excellent scoring record in the league. He has scored 123 goals in 142 matches for Al-Nassr across all competitions and has won two Saudi Pro League Golden Boots.
Some teams have really struggled against the 41-year-old. Al-Wehda is Ronaldo’s top target in Saudi Arabia, as he has scored 10 goals in five matches against them. He has also hit the net nine times against Al-Fateh and Damac. Al-Okhdood has conceded seven goals to him.
Strong Against Big Clubs
Ronaldo has scored often against Saudi Arabia’s top clubs too. He has scored six goals in six matches against Al-Ittihad. He has netted four goals in six matches against Al-Ahli and three in seven against Al-Hilal.
According to Planet Football, Al-Batin is the only exception to his scoring spree. Ronaldo played against them in his first season in Saudi Arabia. He did not score in Al-Nassr’s 3-1 win against Al-Batin. That was just his sixth Saudi Pro League match after joining the club.
Al-Batin was relegated at the end of that season and has not returned to the Saudi top league since. Their stadium holds about 6,000 fans, making their achievement even more remarkable.
By stopping Ronaldo from scoring, Al-Batin joins a small group of clubs that have kept him off the scoresheet in a league match. This group includes Leganes, Benevento, Chievo, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City, Sheffield United, Leeds United, and Crystal Palace.
Ronaldo is set to start another Saudi Pro League season with Al-Nassr under a new manager, Ange Postecoglou. He has taken over from Jorge Jesus.
Al-Nassr aims to defend their league title. Ronaldo is also chasing his goal tally to reach 1,000 career goals. Newly promoted teams Al-Faisaly and Al-Diriyah will face Ronaldo in the 2026-27 season. For him, these are more chances to add to his impressive goal record and possibly complete the list of Saudi Pro League teams.
