Ronaldo rejoined the squad after Portugal's exit from the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The team was knocked out by Spain in the Round of 16. Al Nassr gave him extra time off after the tournament and his wedding on August 11 in Cascais, Portugal.

The wedding was a small affair with their five children present. Ronaldo and Rodríguez shared their marriage news with a photo of their wedding rings. The couple has been together for nearly a decade.

Last season, Ronaldo helped Al Nassr win the Saudi Pro League title, ending a long wait for the club.
