Rudeboy speaks up after Mr P claims late mum treated wife badly

Singer Paul Okoye, known as Rudeboy, has reacted to his twin brother Peter Okoye, also known as Mr P. Mr P recently claimed that their late mother and other family members mistreated his wife, Lola. This happened during the latest episode of his ongoing series about the family feud within P-Square.

On Friday, Rudeboy posted on his social media, seemingly responding to the claims. He wrote, “Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum.”

Mr P released the eighth episode of his video series on Thursday. In this episode, he talked about a family meeting at his home in Omole. He alleged that his late mother, Josephine Okoye, along with family members and pastors, confronted him and Lola about their relationship.

This meeting took place after Lola had given birth to their son. Mr P shared, “When we moved into Omole, our mom came to visit. My son was about five or six months old. When my mom visited, I gave her the master bedroom and moved into Jude’s room. I was expecting my mom to ask, ‘How is your new baby?’ My mom didn’t ask. She just said, ‘How is Lola? I hope she’s fine.’ She said, ‘Can you tell her to come?’ I said, ‘Okay, do you want to see the baby?’ She said, ‘No. Let her come first.’

“Then Lola was living on the Island. How do you expect me to tell Lola my mom wanted to see her and ask her not to come with the baby? I had to lie to Lola not to come with the baby because we had fumigated the house.”

Mr P claimed that when Lola arrived, a meeting took place in the master bedroom at the Omole house. He said their mother, brothers Jude, Paul, and Tony, along with the pastors, attended the meeting. He alleged that neither he nor Lola was offered a seat.

“Everybody was seated… I went to call Lola. When she entered the room, nobody stood up or said, ‘Lola, sit down.’ Nobody even bothered to welcome her properly. Lola and I just sat on the floor.”

Mr P claimed that their mother told Lola, “Young woman, we the Okoye family have decided that you should leave our son alone.” He was shocked and said, “What is going on?” He said that a few days earlier, he and Lola had a small quarrel. He explained that Lola looked at him, confused, and asked, “Babe, what’s going on?” He asked his mother the same thing. Then Jude said, “Leave our brother alone.”

Mr P also said that Jude later picked up a photo of his infant son and made a derogatory comment in Igbo. Lola understood this as referring to the child as a “bastard.”

“Lola started crying. The pastors tried to calm her. They pushed Lola out of the house,” he alleged.

Mr P further claimed that before this confrontation, Jude and Rudeboy were against Lola’s pregnancy. They even circulated an anonymous email questioning who the father of the unborn child was. “Nothing that Jude and Paul didn’t do for Lola to take that pregnancy out,” he claimed.

Mr P said that later, their mother admitted that his son was indeed his biological child. She supposedly asked his brothers to apologize to him, but he claimed they never did before her passing.

He rejected claims that Lola disliked their late mother. He said the two women were on good terms before his mother died. “When my mom was sick… Lola stayed with her in the hospital till midnight and took the pastors back home every day for over two months,” he stated.

Rudeboy did not directly respond to the specific claims made by Mr P, but his post seemed to defend their late mother. This latest back-and-forth is just another chapter in the ongoing conflict between the former P-Square members and their elder brother Jude. It involves issues like the group’s reunion, royalties, company management, and family relationships.

Rudeboy has mostly kept quiet during these public exchanges. His management recently said that he is focused on his music career and will not engage in public disputes over family matters.
