Morocco forward Ismael Saibari made history on Wednesday. He became the first African player to score in all three group-stage matches at the FIFA World Cup, according to PUNCH Sports Extra.

The 25-year-old achieved this milestone during Morocco's 4-2 win over Haiti in their last Group C match. This performance marked an impressive group-stage run where he stood out as one of the top players in the tournament.

His latest goal tied the game 1-1 after Morocco went down early. This means he scored in every group game, a record no African player had reached before in World Cup history.

Saibari's record began in Morocco's first match against Brazil. He scored in a tough 1-1 draw against the five-time champions. He then added another important goal in a close 1-0 victory over Scotland before continuing his scoring against Haiti.

With three goals in this tournament, Saibari also became the first African to score three times in a single World Cup since Ghana's Asamoah Gyan did it in 2010 in South Africa. Gyan's performances remain some of the most memorable by an African player on football's biggest stage.

Saibari's steady scoring has been key to Morocco's advancement from Group C. The Atlas Lions are building on the momentum from their historic semi-final run at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
