Toke Makinwa shows off daughter's face on her first birthday

Media personality Toke Makinwa has finally revealed her daughter, Yakira Eliana, to the world as the little girl celebrates her first birthday.

On Friday, Toke shared several photos on Instagram, introducing Yakira with a heartfelt message that marks this special occasion.

"The best part of my story, finally yours to meet," she wrote.

Toke described Yakira as her "precious answered prayer," her "greatest love," and her "greatest blessing." She said that after one year, she was ready to share "a little piece of my heaven with the world."

Looking back on her journey to becoming a mother, Toke expressed, "God can be trusted, God is real." She mentioned experiencing "El-roi," which means the God who sees. She also wished her daughter a happy first birthday.

The media personality also called her daughter several sweet nicknames, including "YaYa," "Ya Pom Pom," "Ya mama," and "my little bum bum."

Toke announced her pregnancy in August 2025, calling it "the biggest project" of her life. She welcomed Yakira later that same month. Her pregnancy caught a lot of public attention. Some people on social media wondered about the identity of Yakira's father because Toke was not known to be in a relationship at that time. Others doubted if her baby bump was real.

Despite the questions, Toke announced the birth of her daughter, calling her a miracle and an answered prayer.
