The presidential candidate for the Peoples Redemption Party, Donald Duke, Social Democratic Party's Adewale Adebayo, and former Niger State governor Babangida Aliyu are among the key figures at the Shehu Yar’Adua Centre in Abuja. They are there for the Summit of Opposition Political Parties.

This event is organized by the political group G-100. The aim is to create a united front to challenge Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 presidential election.

Other notable attendees include Lawal Daura, the vice presidential candidate of the Allied Peoples Movement, Hakeem Baba-Ahmed, the National Chairman of PRP, and Usman Bugaje, the vice presidential candidate of the SDP.

The gathering also features Fred Agbedi, the Minority Leader of the House of Representatives, Salihu Lukman, the G-100 Convener, and Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress.

As he welcomed everyone, Salihu encouraged the opposition parties to set aside their differences. He urged them to focus on serving Nigeria's greater good instead of just their own political goals.

He said, “We are not asking any political party to dissolve. Let us agree that we must build the table before negotiating the seats.”
