Robert Lewandowski is the player with the most goals in his first 100 UEFA Champions League matches. He is ahead of Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.
On Thursday, Planet Football reported that the Polish striker netted 81 goals in his first 100 games in Europe’s top club competition. This shows he is one of the top forwards of his time.
Messi comes in second with 77 goals. Mbappe is in third place with 72 goals after reaching his 100th game in October 2026.
Despite his great record, Mbappe is still looking for his first Champions League title. He reached the final with Paris Saint-Germain in 2020 but lost to Bayern Munich.
Lewandowski’s top spot shows how consistent he has been at the highest level. The former Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich player has a total of 109 Champions League goals in 144 matches. He won the trophy with Bayern in the 2019-20 season.
Messi had many great seasons with Barcelona, scoring at least 10 goals in the Champions League for five different seasons. He reached 100 appearances in 2015 when Barcelona won the Champions League.
Mbappe’s 72 goals put him ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored 64 times in his first 100 games. Ronaldo later became the all-time leading goalscorer in the competition with 140 goals and five Champions League titles.
Karim Benzema, a former Real Madrid striker, is fifth with 53 goals in his first 100 matches. The Frenchman scored 90 Champions League goals and won the competition five times with Real Madrid.
Real Madrid legend Raul is sixth with 51 goals in his first 100 games. He was the first player to reach 100 Champions League appearances and ended his career in the competition with 71 goals, including five for Schalke.
These numbers show the high standards set by some of the best forwards in Champions League history. Lewandowski leads the list, but Mbappe’s position suggests he could also challenge for the top spot if he keeps scoring.
